At Quogue-Sinclair, we offer nothing but the finest comfort products for your home in the Hamptons.
With Quogue-Sinclair's FREE automatic delivery service, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the warmth, not wonder whether your fuel gauge is on "empty." There’s no worrying about your family's comfort and no waiting for the truck to arrive. By combining your past history and the weather with state-of-the-art software, we determine when you are in need of a fuel delivery. We typically plan our deliveries when your tank has used three-quarters of the available fuel plus a safety margin of five days. We are also beginning to use low-cost tank monitors in areas where the service is available, so we KNOW how much fuel is in your tank.
If you are wondering whether you want this service, you should know that nearly all of our home heating customers use it. Why would you not want this service? If you are trying to control costs, it is far better to use our Preferred Payment Plan to spread your heating payments throughout the year, than to risk running out of fuel at a bad time (and there is never a good time).
The answer to that question is never easy. Both fuels can power either boilers (hot water) or furnaces (forced warm air). Both types of systems have seen improvements and run better with newer equipment. Both types of systems can be detrimental to health, safety, and surroundings if not installed or used correctly.
Fuel prices fluctuate, even in relation to each other, and you cannot simply compare price-per-gallon. Fuel oil burns hotter; that is, it releases more BTUs per gallon than propane. This also makes it perform better on the coldest of days, when a propane furnace might run constantly and still not quite keep up.
Propane systems would seem to be a little cheaper to operate, all things considered, but only a little. If you replaced your oil system with propane, it might take years to recoup your investment. Yet propane is also more flexible – once you have a propane tank on the property, you might want to consider getting those gas appliances you've always wanted, or maybe an emergency generator.
At Quogue-Sinclair, our Oilheat really is different from what some of our competitors deliver. The heating oil we deliver to your home contains a state-of-the-art additive that maximizes your energy dollars while optimizing the performance and extending the life of your heating system. Best of all, we deliver this premium grade Oilheat to you at no extra charge! Why wouldn’t we? After all, it helps us minimize service calls, which is better for you and for us. If you do not have a service contract with your present oil company, why would they even want to minimize your service calls?
Once upon a time, Quogue-Sinclair only worked with Oilheat. Now we have brought the Quality Service traditions of the Oilheat industry to propane, an industry that was never known for great service. You can count on us to be your complete heating solutions company.
Versatile, economical propane isn't just for barbecue grills ... it's also great for:
No, we do not deliver natural gas with our trucks; nobody does. It is delivered through pipes to your home by a utility, just like water. And as with your water systems, you do not need to rely on the utility that does deliver it to service, repair, or install your gas systems. Let Quogue-Sinclair provide the same level of service that we bring to Oilheat and Propane to your natural gas systems and appliances.
Just as you might go to one of those "wholesale club" stores to buy the bulk-size laundry detergent, which will ultimately save you money, at Quogue-Sinclair we have our own bulk oil, diesel and propane storage tanks to keep costs down. In fact, you may have passed our 40,000-gallon facility in Hampton Bays and our 140,000-gallon facility in Watermill, not realizing that your fuel was being safely stored there, ready to be delivered to your home. We recently added propane storage to ensure that we can always deliver when needed.
Having our own storage facilities gives us an important advantage over the competition, because we can purchase bulk quantities of fuel, guarantee product quality and keep a continual supply when product is limited. We are also able to purchase in advance to protect you when the price spikes.
Great Providers: A customer enjoys a far more satisfying relationship with a company like Quogue-Sinclair than one would ever expect with a utility. Utilities are faceless conglomerates that answer to distant boards of directors and have no real local ties. Quogue-Sinclair is a local, family-owned company that maintains long-term, personal relationships and is fully accountable. And where utilities offer little beyond fuel, Quogue-Sinclair offers the services you really need, like preventive maintenance and 24-hour emergency response.
Service: Quogue-Sinclair customers have a team of heating experts on their side to keep their equipment running reliably and efficiently all year long. We offer service contracts that cover the cost of regular preventive maintenance and guarantee emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This is a vital form of protection, because a heating outage can develop into an emergency quickly when the weather is very cold. Health and safety may be at risk when the heat is out, as is the threat of major property damage from frozen water pipes.
Safety: Oilheat will not burn in a liquid state. In order to light heating oil on fire, you must heat it above 140 degrees, the temperature at which it begins to vaporize. If an Oilheat system should malfunction, it will release smoke or soot as a visible warning that something is wrong. Propane systems, meanwhile, have numerous methods of preventing the accidental release of gas, but should such a thing ever happen, propane carries an odorant that will alert you to the problem and that you will not confuse with anything else (we promise).
Cleanliness: Today's Oilheat burns 95% cleaner than in 1970. Since it burns so cleanly, it comes well within the air pollution standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. Propane burns even more cleanly.
